NJ DEP announces new proposal for well water testing.
This new law will have major impact on private wells and all real estate transactions involving the sale of homes with private wells. If this law is adopted, the NJ DEP estimates that the cost of a PWTA water test could increase up to $800 and the cost of new water treatment systems will run as high as $4000. The NJ DEP is accepting written comments up to May 15, 2009.
